When Peter and Rosie at PACK & SEND South Brisbane had a few enquiries regarding shipping mattresses to various locations, including one to Denmark, they grabbed their chance to put a No Limits spin to a job that could be perceived as difficult.
"Mattresses can be worth thousands of dollars and many people consider them too difficult to move within the normal freight industry... wrong!" says Peter.
He says the secret lies in the packaging.
Creating a sturdy, rigid and most importantly stable package in which to house the mattress will help make it a better experience for carriers who baulk at mattresses because of how unstable they can be to transport.
"Make it about the package. Waterproof, liftable and easy to carry are basics but go a long way to ensure the carrier will take the consignment," he added.
For the job below, Peter says they built a sturdy, hot glued custom carton which was shipped from Woolongabba to Darlinghurst, NSW.
